Insect Hunting

On Monday, we started our topic about INSECTS. We went for a walk around the school to see what insects we could find. We saw some ladybugs, some fruit flies, some big flies and a big mosquito!
It was very exciting and we can not wait to find out more about all of these little critters!

Fundamental Skills

Today we met a new coach named Coach Megan. We practiced holding a rugby ball correctly and learnt some fun new games and skills using our rugby balls 😊

Buddy Reading

A lovely morning in the sun reading and a milk break with our beautiful buddies. We love our tuakana in Room 8, they look after us in the playground and always give us cuddles. Thank you Room 8 💕

Fractions with Playdough.

Room 13 has been learning about fractions. We followed a recipe using WHOLE and HALF cups to make Play dough.
Then we used the playdough to make balls. We cut them in half. Half means 2 equal shares.
Next, we made pizzas and cut them into quarters. Quarters means 4 equal shares.
Equal shares means the pieces are all the same.
We even halved and quartets sets of 4 smaller balls! We had to check each pile was the SAME.
